Cantang grouper fish, weighing a total of 500 kilograms was harvested from the waters of Tidung Island, Tidung Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands, Wednesday (7/3).
The fish harvested by the Jakarta Baznas (Bazis) together with the Baitul Maal (YBM) Brilian Foundation and the Seribu Islands Regency Government is the result of cultivation by the Tidung Mandiri Floating Cage Fish Cultivator Group (Pokdakan), since November 2023.

He explained one fish from this cultivation weighs up to 8-9 ounces, if sold per kilogram, the fish can cost Rp 100,000.
"Alhamdulillah (thank God), we harvested the first Cantang Grouper fish that we cultivated with Pokdakan here. Incredibly, the results reached 500 kilograms," he concluded.
He also appreciated the Tidung Mandiri Floating Keramba Pokdakan which will set aside 20 percent of the harvest to be entrusted to Baznas Bazis.
"Seeing today's results, we'll continue and spread Cantang grouper cultivation to other islands," he added.
Seribu Islands Governance Section Head, Purnomo hoped that it could support the Seribu Islands as a food storage area in Jakarta.
"This is an extraordinary result. Hopefully, it can encourage fishermen to produce more fish," he closed.
